I grew up in Whitefield, attending Whitefield County Primary School and then St Joseph’s RC High School. I moved to Prestwich aged 13 and attended Radcliffe Catering College at 16 before starting my career as a chef at Manchester’s Midland Hotel.

The results are in for my favourite Manchester Bands Straw Poll

The 10 most popular suggestions raked in 200 votes and I’ve chucked the numbers into Big Lou’s Sunday Best Computer and the results are in.

The Top Ten consists of the following bands but who can place the top 5 in the correct order from 5th to 1st to win 4 x Tickets to Prestwich Comedy at ICONS - Prestwich on Sunday 6th September, along with absolute bragging rights and my everlasting admiration and respect ❤️

After our Summer Break we return to our First Sunday of the Month Comedy Gigs on Sunday 6th September

Hollins Social Comedy Club at 2pm

ICONS - Prestwich Comedy at 8pm

We’ve had a reshuffle and we are no longer having a middle act, we are trying the Double Headiner route until the end of the year to see how it’s received

And, as it’s Prestwich Comedy’s 14th Anniversary Gig, we’ve lined up two fantastic acts

First up at both gigs will be the wonderful Dr Kevin Jones followed by UK Circuit Favourite Nina Gilligan

Hollins will be hosted by Smug Roberts & Prestwich hosted by Big Lou

Big Lou is putting two shows on at ICONS - Prestwich on Sunday 2nd August

Early Show at 2pm and then an early evening show at 7pm

Tickets are available in the comments and are £9 Each (Plus 90p Booking Fee) or if you fancy a pre show Sunday Roast with a drink £18 (Plus £1.80p Booking Fee)
