I lived in Manchester from about '93 until 2000 and it was the city that inspired the launch of Freerange. The first ever release was actually some of my course work for college and Manchester played a huge part in shaping my musical taste and provided some crazy clubbing experiences.

Nights like Herbal Tea Party Manchester (the picture shows the flyer for a particularly mental night!) and Headfunk (run by the Fat City guys) would be regular hangouts while Matt Thompson's Prescription night was one of my first residencies as Jimpster where we mixed up live musicians jamming with decks n FX in the upstairs room of The Phoenix.

Anyway, needless to say it's always a pleasure to head back to play and this Saturday I'll be at Texture MCR for audio tonic® and I can't wait. Hope to see you!
