We have a petition at the pub to bring the slimming world group back to Harpurhey neighbourhood centre as some of the members who were doing fantastic have now quit because there is not a local group. slimming world closed our group!
Not only is it a weight loss group, it’s a support network, a community.
It helps people who very rarely leave their home to venture out on the weekend.
Helps people with their mental health and also people who suffer from anxiety no longer attend as they have had to move to other groups which can be very daunting for someone with this.
People who are limited with their funds cannot afford to travel further away either.
The consultant is amazing and very supportive and after a long personal battle, came back and was told her group was no longer there!
It’s really not fair as members who wished to join can no longer do so!
The petition is now at the pub..
