HOME is excited to announce that Gabriel Kidd: I found the giant and he was dead is now open at HOME Mcr Main Gallery (21 February – 17 May 2026). Kidd’s work foregrounds q***r narratives and aesthetics, exploring mythology, history, and ecology through sculpture, sound, and writing.

The exhibition features figures and vignettes inspired by local folktales and gestures from gay cruising culture, blending vulnerability, desire, and resilience. Materials such as naturally dyed silk, pine, latex, and sequins create an immersive environment where gender, identity, and sexuality are fluidly reimagined.

A collaborative soundtrack with composer Willow Swan enhances the work’s exploration of impermanence, intimacy, and transformation, inviting audiences to experience a uniquely q***r perspective on myth and memory.

A wonderful evening at the The Lowry, a Production full of elegance, virtuoso dancing and an original score of music by Ludwig Minkus

The company were on good form and performed with great enthusiasm, energy and musicality

The male dancers were especially strong and performed with great dynamics and bravura using the music and Spanish flavoured choreography to their advantage
