Pride Month is held each June to celebrate LGBTQ+ people and to commemorate the events that helped spark the modern LGBTQ+ rights movement.

The month is most closely linked to the Stonewall Riots, which began on 28 June 1969 when patrons of the Stonewall Inn resisted a police raid. The protests that followed became a major turning point in campaigning for equal rights for gay, le***an, bisexual and transgender people.

Join us over the Bank Holiday Weekend in Manchester's Gay Village for the Sparkle Weekend Fundraiser!

Thank you to the Gay Village venues for supporting the Sparkle Weekend 2026, the UK’s longest running celebration of trans lives 🏳️‍⚧️✨️

Our volunteers will be out in the Gay Village on Saturday 23rd - Monday 25th May. Come and chat to us about the amazing work Sparkle is doing all year round in addition to organising the Sparkle Weekend in the last weekend of June.

As part of my Events Management Course with The Event Academy, I am organising a charity event - Drag Yourself to the Quiz! A fabulous charity quiz night in support of the LGBT Foundation.
Join us for a fun-filled evening of entertainment and friendly competition as you put your knowledge to the test while celebrating Pride Month in style. The event will also feature a special performance from Actavia from RuPaul's Drag Race UK, making it a night not to be missed.
