Gary McNamara, or as everyone called him, Macca

Formerly a Royal Mail worker at the depot next door, he’s been a part of the Angel for over 30 years, and easily one of our most beloved regulars.
You always knew it was a good night when you’d spot that red jacket, it meant you were among friends, and friends he had plenty. If Macca was in you could bet he’d be the last to leave, with a bit of coaxing on our end and a quip that “back in the good ol’ days you’d just lock me in here”.

He is remembered by his daughter, Nina, and all those he touched with his quick wit, warm smile and stories that would have you howling all night. Forever a member of our Friday crew❤️

So here’s to you Macca, may your pint always be full, your cigarette always lit, and your seat always warm❤️
