The hospitality industry is facing some of the toughest trading conditions it has seen in years.
While customers see the warm welcome, great food, and friendly atmosphere, behind the scenes pubs are dealing with rising costs at every turn. Energy, suppliers, wages, business rates, and everyday operating expenses continue to increase, making it harder for independent venues to thrive.
Pubs have always been at the heart of their communities.
They’re where people celebrate milestones, catch up with friends, support local causes, and create lasting memories.
Losing these spaces would mean losing far more than just a place to eat or drink.
That’s why we’re backing the campaign, which is calling for a reduced VAT rate for hospitality businesses across the UK.
A fairer VAT rate would help protect jobs, support local economies, and give pubs and restaurants the opportunity to invest back into the communities they serve.
