You may have noticed our bank of Library Bar Lockers while enjoying a cocktail or perusing our collection of 200+ whiskies.

They’re not just for show (although they do look pretty damn fine).

Our Lockers are available for you to own – a place to house your favourite spirits and drinks, purchased from McMillans of Malton and enjoyed when you’re at the Bar.

Make ours a good Old Fashioned…

On Tuesday 25 August we’ll be opening our doors to Malton Whisky Society and Tomatin Whisky as they come together to share the passion, values and stories that have shaped more than a century of whisky making in the Highlands.

Their whisky makes for a timeless addition to an Old Fashioned. This traditional classic cocktail is a popular request, and our bar staff make an elegant one. Here’s how…

Take…
Tomatin 12-Year Old Triple Cask, 50ml
Sugar syrup, 20ml
Water, a splash (or let the added ice melt)
Angostura bitters, 2-3 dashes
Orange peel, for garnish

Put the sugar syrup, bitters and water in a small tumbler. Fill your glass with ice and stir in the whisky. Garnish with the orange peel.
