Our Coastal Christmas Tradition Returns for 2026! ✨

Last year, our Lobster Pot Christmas Tree raised an incredible £1,305 for the RNLI, and this Christmas, we’re hoping to make an even bigger difference! ❤️

Inspired by our beautiful East Coast heritage, we’re bringing together lobster pots, reclaimed fishing nets, ropes and buoys to create something truly special on the Blackwater Estuary. 🌊

We’re inviting our wonderful local community to help bring this year’s tree to life! Every donation, big or small, makes a difference. ❤️

This week’s dog of the week has just spent the last couple of hours with us having a lively time with his owners. He’s a gorgeous Basset Hound. With the biggest of paws you’ll ever see! Isn’t he stunning! And the fact that he’s a Wilfred (my husband’s name!) is even better!

What a delicious September we have had!
And just like that the tides have brought in October. One wave at a time. See you next year September. Tomorrow we welcome Autumn to our shores. The light will become sharper. The waters will cool. The days will shorten, but excitement is brewing for the months ahead.

Ad | I think sauna season might actually be BETTER as the temperature starts to drop!

Although, let's face it, autumn hasn't exactly arrived yet. It's still around 20°C here!

I visited the Vitamin Sea Sauna at The Osea View a little while back with my bestie and I reckon the changing seasons will make this gorgeous little spot even more enjoyable.

There's something wonderful about stepping out of a hot sauna, hopping across the path onto the beach and plunging straight into the sea. Then heading back to warm up and doing it all over again.

And it's not just about the sauna.

There's a lovely indoor space overlooking the estuary where you can settle in afterwards, enjoy some food, indulge in a slice of cake or even have a vino if you fancy. We certainly did!

So even when the weather isn't playing ball, you can easily while away a few hours here with good company.

There's some interesting research around sauna use and long term cardiovascular health, although the evidence specifically relating to menopause is still limited.

But sometimes wellbeing is simply about taking an afternoon out of your ridiculously busy life, having a proper catch up with your bestie and doing something purely because you enjoy it.

More afternoons like this, please!

Perfectly perfect.
What a glorious Autumn we are having. Enjoying a slower pace. Watching the light change. A pot of tea from and a slice of cake from .hq is a very welcome luxury right now. Enjoy every moment.
