The Chequers Inn Laddingford Traditional village pub with large garden and childrens play area as well as lovely seating at the front with beautiful summer flower display.

Everything a proper pub should be. The Chequers is a 15th Century Inn of traditional style, situated in the heart of the English hopping countryside. Heavily beamed with a collection of artefacts throughout, the Chequers offers a relaxed atmosphere in a centuries old environment, representing a true family village pub. The award winning Chequers is listed in the CAMRA Good Pub Guide 2015 and was one of the first pubs in the South to be awarded the Cask Marque Award for serving quality real ale. Good quality, value for money food, including daily specials, homemade pies, Sunday roast and a children's menu. Speciality house dishes such as authentic Spanish paella and tapas are available for special occasions if pre-booked. Our accommodation is rated as a four diamond rating by the English Tourist Board. Kent affords a wealth of places to visit and Laddingford is located to serve as a convenient base for many tourist attractions. We have one self-contained double room with ensuite facilities. The bathroom has a shower but no bath. A put-you-up bed can be placed in the room for a child or third person but it does limit the room space slightly. The room has it's own television and tea/coffee making facilities and is tastefully decorated throughout in keeping with the 15th century surroundings. Room rates include full English breakfast or continental breakfast of meats and cheese. Double occupancy including breakfast from £75 for the room per night

Single occupancy including breakfast from £45 per night

Put-you-up bed and child's breakfast an additional £15

Generally the room will be available from 12 noon but we can usually be flexible if certain check-in or check-out times are required. Reservations for lunch or dinner can be made for during your stay, please advise us accordingly

Our second favourite time of the year, Halloween and we have something for everyone! Starting off with our Halloween quiz on Wednesday 28th October. Booking in advance is recommended! Then we move onto the main event- our kids Halloween party with something for everyone. Fancy Dress is a must! And then after dark a Halloween party like no other! Come and enjoy our spooktacular Halloween!!!🎃

What a fab first couple of days. So lovely to see so many customers back in the pub! We are trying to remember everyone’s names 😀. Our garden room has had a little refresh ready for our opening, it is available for functions and parties. Please contact us if you wish to enquire. We are open 12-3 and 5-11 today and all day tomorrow and Sunday. I will put the new menus up today. We hope to see you soon!

So after 32 fabulous years at The Chequers, today we have retired handing over the reins to Alex and Emma to be the next guardians of this lovely pub.
Over these years we’ve made the most amazing friends, enjoyed seeing so many lovely staff flourish and be part of The Chequers’ family, had so much fun with events and fundraising and been privileged to be part of an amazing community. We thank you enormously for all your kind words, gifts and flowers and the several party nights celebrating.
32 years ago we could never have imagined how our lives would change and we’d be engulfed in Chequers’ life, we feel so lucky. We now look forward to seeing many of you on the other side of the bar and wish Alex & Emma all the very best for their future at The Chequers. If you have half as much fun as we’ve had you’ll have an amazing time.
