John & Owen McCormack Memorial 2026

Congratulations to Darren Bartlett on being crowned the 2026 John & Owen McCormack memorial champion.

Darren came out on top after a top class final against Peter Walls. The game was played in a great spirit which is the most important thing, especially in this tournament. Darren was in receipt of a 14 point start, it was very much a 50/50 match and so it proved. The match was in th balance throughout, Peter had a couple of fine breaks, a 58 and a 49 clearance. Darren had a high break of 45 on his way to a 4-2 victory.

Everyone in the club is delighted to see one of the top local players back playing again after years away, we are sure he is back to stay, commiserations on this occasion Peter.
Congratulations to Darren, his all round game continues to improve and there is a desire to improve which is great to see, no doubt there is plenty more to come.

A special thank you to Adrian Maguire for refereeing the final.

We would like to thank Traad Nurseries for their continued sponsorship and the McCormack family for the continued support.

A donation will be made in the coming days to a charity chosen by the McCormack family.

That wraps up another momentous season in the club in which we marked 100 years and were also crowned All Ireland Champions.

NI Under 21 Championship Joy For Connolly

Congratulations to Joel Connolly on being crowned the NI U21 Champion for the 2025/26 season.
It was a dominant display in the final against the current U16 champion, Darragh Gallagher. Joel will be delighted with his performance and a break of 99 in the last frame was a fitting way to secure the title. Darragh to his credit showed what he is capable of with an excellent break of 67 in the frame that he won. There is no doubt that these two young men are destined for bigger things and they are sure to have many clashes in the years to come.

Congratulations Joel and commiserations to Darragh.

A big thank you to Junior TD, Tommy McCrea. This season he has went above and beyond to ensure that there has been plenty of tournaments for the Juniors. We are sure that next year will be better again with Tommy at the helm. A thank you also to NIBSA referee, Patrick McConville who operated the scoreboard as Tommy carried out his refereeing duties.

On behalf of St Patrick’s Club, we are delighted to have hosted the Junior tournaments this season and to do a small bit towards the development of these young players.

NI U21 Championship Final 2026

What a treat we have in store for you on Sunday evening at 7pm. Two of the best young prospects face each other in a mouthwatering U21 final.

Joel Connolly and Darragh Gallagher have both had tremendous seasons in both the Junior and Senior tours. This was one should be fast, attacking and the scoring should be heavy.

We wish both players well and may the best man win.

Everyone is welcome to attend or watch on live stream if you can’t make it

Tommy Walls Cup 2025/26

Congratulations to Cue Ball player, Paul Kelly on winning this seasons Tommy Walls Cup. The Cue Ball player has entered all of the tournaments this season and his game has improved as a result.
Despite being in receipt of a fairly substantial points start many would have fancied Gregory’s all round match play to still come out on top but it wasn’t to be. The opening frame went the way of Paul by a solitary point after he potted the pink and black. Gregory bounced back to level matters before Paul went back in front 3-1. Gregory came back once again with a 50+ break to force a decider which the match deserved.
The deciding frame was tense as you would expect and the balls started to move to the cushion which was in Paul’s favour. Gregory battled but he couldn’t claw the points back and with that, Paul got his hands on the trophy.

A massive well done to Paul and commiserations to Gregory. Thank you as always to our referee, Tommy Mcrea

🔥 Championship Joy For Dornan 🔥

Congratulations to Darren Dornan on becoming the 2026 NI Intermediate Champion. There is no doubting Darren’s class but having had the season off and being up against a top quality line up, this was a fine triumph. An opening fluked red didn’t overly concern Gregory but what followed would have, a sublime total clearance of 140.
Gregory to his credit dug deep and at the interval was level at 2-2, not many players could have handled the early onslaught as well. The Loughinisland man dominated proceedings after the interval but was made to work hard for it. A few untimely misses by Gregory was punished as Darren ran out a deserving winner on a 5-2 scoreline.
While Gregory will no doubt be disappointed with the result, it will be a season to look back on. Captain of the NI over 55 winning team at the Home Internationals, a key member of the St Pats All Ireland winning team and a finalist in the Intermediate Championship.
Darren will be delighted with his comeback success and everyone at St Pats is glad to see him back playing again.

A big thank you as always to our TD and tournament referee, Tommy McCrea.

In total, there was £1,250.00 paid out in this tournament. We are proud to put on a tournament and offer that level of prizemoney for players that are outside the top 16.

See you all next season for a few more tournament 😎
