It comes with great sadness that we’ve decided to shut the doors at The Saltern.

The cost of living crisis has made running independent business pretty much impossible- we’re not the first to go and won’t be the last.

We’ve had the time of our lives, met some of the most incredible people and have no doubt that we’ll regret this decision but with no end in sight we need to put our own psychical and mental health first and keep your money out of billionaires pockets.

Our last service will be Saturday 18th Feb and we’ll be here for drinks everyday in the lead up so please come say hi.

This won’t be the end - we’re already coming up with ideas,writing up plans and having meetings to try to keep the best booze & food in Lymington.

Happy new year everyone.

NGL 2022 f**king sucked - a truly cursed year HOWEVER everyone who came out the last few weeks and everyone in the beautiful community that we have created has been such a wonderful reminder of why we do what we do and that we do it pretty well - a life affirming experience. Just to be clear there were loads of these moments throughout the year too.

Here’s to 2023 and whatever it may bring - we hope you all have a sick one two.

IT’S CHRISTMAS

Our tree is up and we’re extending our hours in the run up to the new year - we might even stay open a little later for those on the nice list.

Our last roast of the year will be THIS SUNDAY but will also be supporting sore heads with roast meat, veg and gravy on New Years Day- GET BOOKED NOW

Hay baked ham, parsley sauce and mash with a side of kohlrabi remoulade in our newly opened restaurant

The LFT sandwich by in the pub - deep fried smoked turkey, sprout slaw, gravy aioli, cranberry ketchup and butter stuffing.
