Hi caddington/ surrounding villages and towns 🙋🏻‍♀️

I was just wondering if this page should be kept on Facebook now the pub is no longer running, would you guys like to keep the page available?

I was thinking perhaps it can be kept in my dads memory (Dave smith- manger of the cricketers pub caddington) so if anyone has any photos, quotes or anything they wish they could say this page can be used for your comments and posts to share with the village he was so well known and loved in.. ✨♥️

The pub has gone back to the brewery and has done for over 2 years now and it’s now in their hands to do what they wish with the building/ pub. I hope whatever they turn the area/ building into they do what’s best for the village.

As from today please avoid using the cricketers car park! It’s going to be blocked off this week so cars won’t be able to get in or out and we would hate for anyone’s car to be trapped. The company haven’t been clear on what day this is happening so it could happen at any time this week so please bare this in mind!
So sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Hi everyone✨
As many of you may already know the cricketers pub caddington has closed untill further notice.

Its been a sad/ hard time for all of us but we feel at this time it’s the best for us all and the future of the pub. I know many of you have questions as to why we have suddenly closed and the best way I can answer this is that it’s been extremely difficult to say the least! Many different issues and problems financially and physically and with it being such an old building etc, at the moment the best thing to do is to put everything on hold untill we can get our thoughts back together again.

We really would like to thank you all of you that have supported us since the day my dad died and the day we opened back up and have been in to see us and helped us all the way ❣️ we really do appreciate you all, friends and family and all the staff that worked for us for just a short period of time- we couldn’t of done it without your support and generosity ❤️

We hope nothing but the best for the future, but for now we are closed untill further notice.

Food served daily, Daily specials and a choice of homemade pies, Scot eggs, sausage rolls and plenty more🤩

Monday- Friday we are offering 3 course meals for only £6.50 per person 😍

Good evening✨
We are now back up and running, please feel free to pop in and say hello🥰.
We have new opening hours which will be listed below;
Monday- Thursday 12.00 -11.00
Friday- Saturday 12.00- 12.30
Sunday- 12.00- 10.30

We have given the cricketers pub a fresh colour of paint and a slight modern touch to brighten up the pub🤩 we have now finished our sports area and it is ready to be re opened. We look forward to seeing everyone back in the pub watching/ playing there favourite sports.

We are now serving food 🥗🥪🍔🍟🍰
please ask at the bar for a menu☺️, if you wish to pop in for lunch/ dinner or even just a few snacks you don’t need to book just ask at the bar and you will be seated by a member of staff.

Just a kind reminder please be aware of the current situation and keep to the 2 meter social distancing.
To enter the pub please use the car park door, as you walk in you will see a small table which is our hand sanitiser station, please sanitise your hands before entering and please sign in with your full name and contact details. This is all part of our COVID 19 rules & regulation. Please follow the floors signs. There will be hand sanitiser all round the pub so please feel free to use it as much as you feel is needed.
Children are welcome🤗 adult supervision is required at all times.

RIP Dave smith 💙.

Cant believe it, he was our friend, landlord, boss for some and everything else.
The witness for mine and my Clare's wedding.
Shocking news 😢.

As per the sign at the cricketers, the pub is closed. We will be having a beer in the cricketers car park at 7pm and raising a drink to you dave.

There maybe a few of us, and anyone is welcome to join.

On a side note i am aware of the current situation, but there is enough room to keep a reasonable distance from each other. And with the uncertainty of what is happening in the world this may be the only chance we get in the near future to say goodbye.
