Superb trombonist, composer, bandleader, and Tomorrow's Warriors Emerging Artist Christ-Stéphane Boizi is already making his mark on the London jazz scene, but his reputation is set to soar following the release of his debut album ‘As The Spirit Leads’ via Banger Factory Records.

Steeped in the hard bop tradition, his music is influenced by the legacy of Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers, Horace Silver, and Jackie McLean.

Andy Davies is an award-winning Welsh trumpeter (alongside being a comedian, scriptwriter, voiceover artist, actor, and educator). He has hosted the famous Ronnie Scott’s Upstairs Jazz Jam for 15 years and is one of the most accomplished and exciting jazz musicians we have in the UK.

Expect a wild night of top-quality jazz, with some of the finest musicians on the London scene.

Soft Machine is one of the greatest UK avant jazz-rock bands of all time. From early performances as a psychedelic band when they were contemporaries of, and shared stages with, Syd Barrett’s Pink Floyd and The Jimi Hendrix Experience, all the way to being one of Europe’s best-known fusion bands, they have influenced several generations of bands and continue to be name-checked by today’s hip experimentalists.

Whilst the line-up of Soft Machine may have changed many times since the heady days of the late 1960s, the band’s spirit of musical adventure continues to make it both unique and totally contemporary.

Brilliant jazz pianist and composer Diarra Walcott-Ivanhoe brings his quartet of some of London's finest to The Bear Club on Saturday night (yes, Halloween!)

Not promising any tricks, but we are definitely in for a treat! No spooky shenanigans, but do expect some superb young players who you will be hearing much more from in the years to come.
