The Moorings

It's here. 🎃

Kids, you're up first. 4pm–6pm, the room's yours: Halloween party, fancy dress and the best dressed competition. Our judges are taking it very seriously.

At 6pm the grown-ups get their turn, and the party runs until late. Costumes on, craft beers poured, the River Soar going dark and spooky outside. 🦇

Get your costume on and come down today, link in bio.

Costume emergency? You've got until 4pm tomorrow. 🎃

Our Halloween Kids Disco is on tomorrow, 4pm–6pm. Dress them up as scary, silly or wonderfully odd as they like and get them on the dance floor. There's a best dressed competition too, so the homemade outfits finally get their moment. 👻

Spooky food is on to buy if you fancy an early tea while they dance.

Calling all creatures of the night. 🌕🦇

Our Halloween Bash takes over The Moorings this Saturday, 6pm until late. DJ Marc is on the decks with a Fright Night set of Hip-Hop, Indie, 80s and Funk, the bar's pouring spooky cocktails all night, and fancy dress is highly encouraged. The scarier the better. 🧛

Entry's free all evening, and the party kicks off as soon as the kids' disco wraps up at 6pm.

Tag your crew, pick your costume and come down from 6pm Saturday. All the details at https://themoorings.pub/

There’s no wrong answer, but we’re curious: where would you sit at The Moorings?

Dine in our welcoming restaurant, settle in the dog-friendly bar area, or take in the view by the River Soar. The river has a quieter, moodier look as the evenings draw in.

Halloween's on a Saturday this year, and the kids are up first. 🎃

Saturday 31st, 4pm–6pm, The Moorings hands the room over to them: a Halloween party, fancy dress very much encouraged, and a best dressed competition with a prize for the winner. Skeletons, superheroes, homemade pumpkin outfits, all welcome.

From 6pm it's adults only, so the grown-ups take over once the kids' party wraps up.

Start planning the costume and bring them down for 4pm. Details at https://themoorings.pub/

Rough day? Running on empty? Brain officially closed for the evening? 🫠

You know what helps. A table by the River Soar, a warm welcome and someone else taking care of everything for a few hours.

The Moorings is a waterside restaurant and bar in Barrow upon Soar with rustic warmth, a modern touch and a dog-friendly bar area. Dine inside, settle in at the bar or grab a spot outside by the river. As Halloween creeps closer and the evenings draw in, it’s the perfect excuse to switch off.

We’re open daily from 12pm until 10pm.
