Just a reminder that no dogs are allowed on Hall Field due to lambing

Please use the allocated parking on Wysall Lane or carefully around the village.

Brook Street and Narrow are officially closed between 9am-5pm - only emergency vehicles have access. If you need to have access within those times please park your cars somewhere else in the village.

Please no cars to be parked on Brook Street or Narrow Lane between 9am - 5pm. Could you park on your driveways or neighbouring streets as we have need to allow space for the runners, stalls, pedestrians etc.

Narrow Lane reopens from 1pm

TOUGH DUCKER - TIME CHANGE🦆

Due to the rain tonight we have decided to push the time of the TOUGH DUCKER from 2pm to 3.30pm.
This will allow us to build the course after the heavy rain has passed and will also allow the ground time to dry out. Safety is our first priority.
Some sections of grass may still be damp so please wear appropriate clothing that you won't mind getting a bit muddy.

Hello Wymeswold!🦆🦆🌦️🍔🍻🥇🎸⚽️🏃‍♀️🏃

We have been keeping a close eye on the forecast for our Wymeswold Waddle and Duck Race Day this Sunday the 3rd of May. It looks like we might get a bit of light rain at times, but honestly, the ducks are absolutely thrilled about it. In fact, a little extra water might just mean we get record breaking speeds especially after their intense training this year!💪

We want to let everyone know that the whole day is definitely going ahead. Because the roads are already closed off, the morning running events are 💯 percent confirmed, so please come out and cheer everyone on.

We have an amazing lineup for you, including live music from Josh Kemp, the Bloco Transcultural samba group, the Tough Ducker obstacle course, penalty shoot out, and plenty of lovely local stalls. The Windmill also has a full day of fun ready to go.

The Duck Races raise vital funds for our village charities, so we really hope you will still bring the family down. Grab a raincoat, place your bets, and let us have a brilliant day supporting the community!

THE WORLD CUP DUCK RACE - 48 plastic yellow ducks race the brook
£10 per bet - choose your country and hope it wins.

Would you like to be entered into our new 'Sponsor a Duck' Business Race at this years Duck Race? We have 10 new ducks ready to swim to the winning line!

The suggested donation is £50 to sponsor the duck (or more if you wish). We will pull a names out of a hat on Friday 1st May if we have more than 10 applicants so all entries need to be in by Friday morning.
