After 17 years, it’s time for me to call last orders at the White Horse ❤️
As so many of you know, I celebrated my last shift behind the bar this weekend, at Seagrave’s village fete. It was a fantastic turnout, and I had the chance to catch up with so many lovely customers and staff members from over the years, as well as being given a really touching send off by the fete committee 🥰
Last night, I spent a wonderful evening with my White Horse team. They are the beating heart of the pub, and the reason I’ve loved my job for so many years. Charles (our pub chef) and I are moving on to pastures new, but I know that the rest of the team will continue to make the White Horse just as welcoming as ever.
The pub is now closed and will be reopened by the new owners in the next few days. I wish them every success as they take over the reins of the White Horse - watch this space for more details!
Thank you to every single one of you who has supported our little pub over the years, and especially those of you who have sent me such kind and thoughtful leaving gifts and messages. I’m so grateful for this chapter, and so excited for the next one. I’ll be raising a glass to you all 🍻
