To the local community,
(Please like and share to spread the word)
As most of you have probably realised The Old Joinery was broken into on Friday evening and there are now squatters living in the building.
We have been constantly trying to get the police to evict them from the property as soon as we found out this has happened. The squatters have broken and entered, damaged and stolen our property, physically assaulted a member of the local community and our staff, caused noise problems through parties and broken into the residential areas of the building the police are still not willing to step in and evict them even with sufficient evidence of the above.
We are so sorry for any disruption this is causing to the local area, but please know this is completely out of our hands. We have no idea what it is going to take for the police to step in before it escalates further.
If you do find that they are affecting, threatening or causing any disruption call the police and report it. As most of you know we held our last public event at the space end of May, but we are currently residing and operating the rest of the business from the premises as before a film location, workshops and office spaces. Hence why we are still in occupation.
Know that we are working to deal with this as quickly and effectively as possible. The Old Joinery x
