Unit31 East-London film and music collective. Unit 31 is a music/film collective based in Limehouse’s Cable Street Studios.

Our aim is to encourage musicians and artists to share their talents and contribute to London's creative community. If you want to host an event, shoot a video, record your music or to collaborate with the house band or film team then please get in touch. No doubt about it, last night with Ben Jones and the band was something special. The room was packed, the energy was high, the music was exceptional, and the pocket was 11/10. And the fact that it was all recorded means we’ll get to time travel back into it.

No matter how much goes into preparing a night like this, especially when Unit31 isn’t even a physical space, the feeling afterwards is always the same: pure gratitude. Nights like this remind you why gathering around sound matters.

Thank you to everyone involved, and to everyone who showed up and brought their energy to the room. A special shout out to Audio Gold for providing the speakers for the night, the sound was everything. And a massive thank you to Playhouse East for opening their doors to us and being so accommodating.

Tomorrow, one more night. Unit31 flagship event: Salt Peanuts Vol. 34, where the our house band will be opening the mic for singers and rappers. See you there.

Unit 31 presents an exclusive live recording performance from acclaimed multi-instrumentalist, producer and composer Ben Jones, celebrating the release of Mixtape Volume 3.

Renowned for his work with artists including Sam Smith, Mary J. Blige, Tom Jones, Jazmine Sullivan and Grammy Award-winning vocalist Lalah Hathaway, Ben has established himself as one of London’s most respected musicians. Blending jazz harmony, deep funk, soulful melodies and contemporary grooves, his music is both refined and unmistakably his own.

Joined by an exceptional ensemble of musicians, this one-night-only event captures Mixtape Volume 3 live in front of an audience. More than a concert, it’s the creation of a live record - celebrating spontaneity, musicianship and the energy that only live performance can deliver.
