The monochrome pin is a direct replica of TRASH’s name as it appeared from 2005 until the final party in 2007, and the other badge is an exact scale reproduction of the neon sign which lit up our main room, every Monday night. Each has been ethically produced and to the highest standard we could reach.

Rory Phillips' 'Post Punk Party Mix' recorded live at TRASH on Monday 17th April 2006 is now streaming on Apple Music.

"Usually my sets at TRASH revolved heavily around new music but when I had the honour of opening for The Slits I decided to do something different, pulling out records from their late 70s and early 80s peers. Post punk bands whose influence was felt heavily in the new acts of the time and oddities that got lost in the cracks. This mix is all vinyl and mostly from 7”.

I have always been very fond of this mix and the snapshot in time it represents. The recording has been remastered and is now streaming in lossless form on Apple Music. Please Enjoy." - Rory Phillips

Stay tuned for more DJ sets recorded live at the club.

"Alkan explained in The Guardian in 2006, weeks before Trash would close its doors, “Had someone told me on the first night that it would run for 10 years, I’m not too sure that I would have believed them. And due to the new commitments I have taken on, it would be unfair to try and keep the club going."

Erol Alkan has marked the 18th anniversary of the club night Trash closing down by sharing his classic DJ set from 2002.

"Trash was predominantly guitar music up until around 2000", Alkan told the Guardian in a 2017 retrospective feature on Trash. "But when we first heard Felix Da Housecat’s 'Silver Screen (Shower Scene)'", a version of which features in the newly shared DJ set, "it ticked all of the boxes. It was powerful, imaginative, mysterious... All of a sudden there was a record that I felt completely embodied the spirit of Trash."

The London DJ looks back on a decade of his iconic club night that propelled the electroclash sound to the top of the city's 2000s party scene
