With the summer solstice around the corner and 24h open book exams ending in quick succession with each passing day, the summer winds of change have begun to blow again in the SOAS JCR with the storied bar facing a summer refurbishment. Whispers of nights filled with live music, dance and communal solidarity waft past students va**ng indoors, not knowing what they are waiting for or what they have missed, venting their frustrations to anonymous online forums. Can one be nostalgic for the home one never had?
The SOAS SU, SOAS Radio and the Bar have teamed up yet again to provide a home away from home opening the bar at 12 for an afternoon and evnening filled with live music, food, DJ’s and you!
For the occasion Dan Parties & The Immigrant Party will be broadcasting their message at midnight. Coming off a sold out debut headline show, this is one you don't want to miss!
They’ll be joined by the SOAS JCR Allstars playing from a songbook of classics.
