WINE & DINE VOL. 8
ROUSSILLON, LANGUEDOC & PROVENCE
SUN, SEA & UNTAMED TERROIRS

A journey through France’s Mediterranean south, from luminous mountain whites and sea-cooled rosé to herb-scented reds and a final glass with almost fifty years behind it.

CÔTES CATALANES LLUM ROC DES ANGES 2023
From old vines rooted in Roussillon schist. A luminous white with peach, citrus, mountain herbs and a fine, saline finish.

CÔTES CATALANES ROC DE LA VELLA LA MARIOTA 2023
From the limestone soils of Vingrau. Macabeu and Roussanne with smoky citrus, white fruit, chalky texture and Mediterranean freshness.

VDP DU GARD ROC D’ANGLADE 2019
From limestone-rich soils near Nîmes. A Chenin-led white with ripe orchard fruit, waxy depth and a taut, mineral finish.

PROVENCE MÉDITERRANÉE CHÂTEAU FIGUIÈRE 2025
From the Provençal coast. Pale, bright and easy-going rosé with white peach, red berries and a clean saline lift.

BANDOL ROSÉ DOMAINE TEMPIER 2025
From Bandol’s maritime slopes. Mourvèdre-led rosé with wild strawberry, citrus peel, dried herbs and the structure to carry a table.

TERRASSES DU LARZAC CUVÉE H CLOS DE LA BARTHASSADE 2022
From limestone slopes in the Languedoc. Syrah-led, with dark berries, cracked pepper, woodland spice and finely drawn tannins.

BAUX DE PROVENCE CORNALINE DOMAINE HAUVETTE 2018
From the foothills of the Alpilles. Layered red fruit, blackcurrant, garrigue and earthy spice, softened beautifully by time.

COTEAUX DU LANGUEDOC AUTOUR DE JONQUIÈRES MAS JULLIEN 2010
From one of the defining domaines of the Languedoc. Now beautifully evolved, with dark fruit giving way to leather, dried herbs and a long savoury finish.

RIVESALTES PUIG-PARAHY 1978
Nearly fifty years in the making. Deep amber Rivesaltes with toasted hazelnut, dried fruit, caramel and the unmistakable lift of rancio.

Book your table for Thursday 20th August, from 5pm until close.

A wine list should invite curiosity, not require a map.

It might begin with a quick glass before dinner, something bright and mineral to wake the evening up. Then a bottle for the table. Perhaps an old favourite, perhaps a producer you have never met before. There is no correct way through the list.

Bastille Day at La Compagnie

Some nights don’t need a reason, but we’ll take this one anyway. Courtyard lit up, corks popping a little more freely, and a wine list leaning into everything French and full of character tomorrow.

Good company, better wine, and a reason to linger a little longer than usual - that’s the only celebration we need.

Ps. We’ll be screening France vs Spain on the top floor…
