DJ Marion Key’s story starts on the dancefloor. Between 1990 and 1994 she was a devoted raver, soaking up the Hardcore and Rave energy that would go on to define her sound. Just after lockdown she finally stepped behind the decks, sharpening her craft and quickly making waves. Her debut arrived in Corfu with Housework—kick-starting a rapid ascent across the UK and Europe.

Since then, Marion has played standout slots at Southeast Dance Festival, House and Classics Festival, New World Festival, Epidemik, Strawberry Sundae, House is a Feeling, Risen, and Rave Illusion. Internationally, she’s torn it up in Ibiza with Slip Back in Time (multiple times, at some very special venues) and taken her sound to Amsterdam.

On air, she’s appeared on Centreforce—where she also delivered a memorable back-to-back with the amazing Rooney. As a producer, Marion is starting to turn heads too: her track “Fly Away” was supported widely, including spins on Centreforce, cementing her reputation as a rising force in modern rave and house.

Known for her passion, infectious energy, and deep-rooted love of rave culture, DJ Marion Key is a name to watch on the house and rave circuit.

We welcome our 1st Headliner Ellis Dee to the Rave Asylum family.

Ellis Dee, known to many as The Captain, is one of the original architects of UK rave culture, with a DJ and production career spanning more than 35 years. Stepping behind the decks at just 15 years old, he was already shaping dancefloors when Acid House erupted in 1987 and changed British youth culture forever.

Drawn instantly to the energy and freedom of the movement, Ellis Dee became a key figure in the early rave underground, helping to build the foundations of a scene that would go on to influence the world. By the late ’80s he was a resident DJ for the legendary World Dance Organisation, headlining iconic raves such as Fantazia, Raindance, Telepathy and Dreamscape, alongside pioneers including Carl Cox, Grooverider, Slipmatt and DJ Hype.

As rave evolved, so did Ellis Dee. From Acid House and Hardcore through Jungle, Drum & Bass and Breaks, he adapted seamlessly to every era while releasing classic anthems and sought-after mixtapes. Having played across the globe, his understanding of the dancefloor remains as sharp today as it was at the birth of rave.
Over three decades on, The Captain is still steering the sound — and the spirit of rave lives on.
