An outstanding attacking display today as we ran in 13 tries to secure a dominant 60-26 victory over Eastern Rhinos in the National Conference South.
After an evenly contested opening period we began to find our rhythm through strong yardage carries, quick ball movement and clinical finishing out wide. Once momentum swung our way we proved too powerful, crossing for 13 tries in an entertaining display of attacking rugby league.
Points were shared around the park with several players producing standout performances.
Tamati Gribble led the way with a superb hat-trick, while Leighton Ball also crossed three times in an impressive display on the edge.
Alex McMillan grabbed a brace as did Dom Stock while further tries came from Reiss Walker, Mohamed Hammad and Matt Ross.
The platform for the victory was laid through relentless effort in the middle of the field, allowing our outside backs and edges to capitalise on opportunities throughout the match.
Goal-kicking duties were shared between Reiss Walker and Conor Colman, with Walker landing 3 conversions from 11 attempts and Colman adding 1 from 2.
Massive respect to Pete and the Eastern Rhinos players who played with pride and kept fighting until the final whistle.
