Today we celebrate , we honour all nurses and in particular we remember our inspirational Founder Nurse Ethel McCaul. In a rare early picture she is seen here on the left in South Africa in 1900, on duty at a military field hospital volunteering as Dr Frederick Treves's Principal Assistant, and also the first woman to enter Ladysmith after the Boer War siege. On the right Nurse McCaul is pictured (centre) during WWI, with colleagues and patients, at her private London hospital where she pioneered PTSD treatments. Today the proudly remains true to Nurse McCaul's founding vision as the London home for enlisted members of the British Armed Forces and membership is still open to you!
