THE FEAST
Our hand picked chefs are preparing a mouth-watering selection of swedish delights for you to pick from the Smörgåsbord.
Enjoy a cocktail, (or two!) from our specially designed Christmas Cocktail Menu (prepared by Co-Founder & award winning mixologist Frederik Olsson).
You might be thinking what is a Julbord? Whilst there are a few classic dishes that are guaranteed to make an appearance, each Swedish family will have a slightly different take on it, but essentially it’s a culinary journey that takes you to the heart of Swedish cuisine with freshly prepared and delicious Swedish food.
The starters are primarily cold dishes such as herring, cold cut meats, salads and pates and of course smoked salmon & gravad lax. Rumor has it that the Skandilicious showstopper 'Herring Surprise' (which had Marco Pierre-White doing double takes round the Smörgåsbord!) might be making a return this year! Different types of cheese, breads & spreads are also found here.
For your main course you may choose to sample our home made Swedish meatballs, succulent ribs, cute little “prince” sausages and the curiously delicious Janssons temptation just to mention a few dishes… Our traditional Julskinka (breaded Christmas Ham decorated with cloves) will of course make an appearance too.
Finally, dessert. Where do we start? Designed to satisfy even the sweetest tooth, desserts and baked goods such as ginger cake, saffron cake and of course the classic Christmas Rice Porridge which is enjoyed with sugar and cinnamon are all classic Skandilicious treats. Will you be the lucky guest finding the single almond hidden in the porridge; and what does this mean? All will be revealed during the course of the meal.
We have a carefully curated selection of beer, wine and champagne as well as non-alcoholic drinks that go perfectly with the Julbord. You can also enjoy unique seasonal Swedish cocktails created by Fredrik Olsson (Skandilicious co-founder and voted London’s best bartender).
*The ticket price includes a warm welcome drink and the all-you-can-eat smörgåsbord. All other drinks apart from the welcome drink can be ordered from the waitresses throughout the evening and paid for at the end of the night.
