NEW THIS WEEK 🎠 Must Be Nice Up There- 6.5% NEIPA

This one absolutely flew when we first released it in summer 2025, where we received quite literally TENS of lovely compliments about its big hop load and how delightfully crushable it was at 6.5%.

In a shameless search for another ego boost - but mainly because we (and you!) think it’s a banger - we decided to trot this horse out of retirement. Because it really is very nice up there.

We’ve rejigged the hop bill slightly this time, leaning on Nelson Sauvin T90 and Cryo for that much-loved NZ base, alongside Citra, Superdelic and Mosaic in place of Motueka. It’s all soft tropicals and melted Calippo juicy citrus. Giddy up!

On the webshop and pouring at all taprooms.

✨ HAPPY 9TH BIRTHDAY TO US ✨

We’re hyped (and a more than a little proud!!) to have celebrated our 9th birthday this weekend. Whilst it’s not quite the big 1-0, it’s way longer than we expected to be around! And probably quite a bit longer than a lot people (quite fairly!) expected us to be around too.

It is genuinely wild to believe that 9 years ago James and I got the keys to a small arch in Forest Gate and put down every penny we’d loaned (15k to be precise, a ridiculously small amount to start a brewery with!) on a tin can brewery kit and the ingredients for our first brew.

We relied heavily on instagram filters (see snaps) and some hardy locals, and we took a while to find our feet, with the support and love of those locals and our families along the way.

What started with James and I (and James’ mum - shoutout to Anne) soon became us and Chris - who has brewed with us ever since and has driven the beers forward to become what they are today.

Whilst we’ve not always been serious in how we talk about our beer that doesn’t mean that we haven’t always taken it incredibly seriously - - and we’re really proud to be knocking out the quality of beer we are today. And to be doing it alongside the whole of the PD team - every single one of whom brings their talent and drive to push PD to the next level.

Massive thanks to team PD, and to every single person who has shown us support and bought a beer (or many) along the way. We will never not appreciate you!

Love Sarah and James x

PS. Please enjoy snaps 7-13, from Fridays party, that get progressively blurrier 🍻🫣

MULTISTORE GIFT CARD 🎁

One of the best parts of any birthday is a lovely brekkie to fuel a full day of birthday shopping - although that One4All gift card you got is almost certainly unusable in any of the shops you actually like.

The third and final of our birthday specials is a 5.5% sour is inspired by one of our all-time favourite pancake toppings: blueberry and banana. Pouring deep purple and bursting with tart bloobs, with a hint of sweet banana bread to finish.

Pouring along with our other two birthday specials tonight at all taprooms for ÂŁ4.50 a pint. Birthday heatwave starts now!

I’LL TAKE THE CASH NEXT YEAR 🥲

Sometimes a gift is so impressively thoughtless, you almost have to admire it. A copy of Dave Grohl’s autobiography when you’ve never once shown even the slightest interest in the Foo Fighters, for example...

This 7% NEIPA is hopped with Nelson Sauvin, Mosaic and Nectaron. Like a party bag of juicy Starburst and sticky red lollies.

Try it at all taprooms tomorrow at our Birthday First Pour for the absolutely silly price of ÂŁ4.50 a pint!

NEW THIS WEEK 🌱 Life in the Mow Lane - 4.5% Session IPA

We love a big hazy, but when you’re tending lawn, only a sessionable number will do. So we’ve packed all the hop character of a 6% NEIPA into a chuggable 4.5% garden-strength pale.

Brewed with Mosaic and Simcoe, it’s full of plush apricot and stonefruit, juicy citrus and soft florals. It’s soft, lush and velvety - as all good lawns should be!

So fire up the Flymo and landscape like your life depends on it. Because life ain’t ever slow when you’re into the mow 😎

NEW THIS WEEK 🥒 Bedtime Pickles - 7% NEIPA

It’s no secret we love Nelson Sauvin, so when were looking for a brewery to best showcase Nelson in all its glory, they reached out to us (blush blush!).

The result is Bedtime Pickles - a 7% single-hop Nelson Sauvin NEIPA that Yakima Chief will be pouring at at the end of the month.

It uses Nelson in three different Yakima Chief formats to show off the full spectrum of what this ridiculously good hop can do at different stages of the brew.

We started with a Nelson Sauvin™ HyperBoost™ dip hop to build a huge saturated aroma base. Dip hopping is when we add hops before fermentation starts, helping crank up the aromatic oils and creating softer, juicier hop character minus any harsh bitterness.

Nelson Sauvin™ HyperBoost™ amplifies the hop’s signature wine spritz character alongside huge citrus and tropical notes, with Nelson Sauvin T90 and Cryo™ in the whirlpool layering in even more depth of flavour. We then finished it with a Nelson Sauvin T90 and Cryo™ dry hop to pile fresh explosive aroma on top.

It’s an absolute juice-box of flavour - think tropical Sauvvy B energy with layers of passionfruit, sweet peach and lime. As dreamy-soft as slipping into your king-size gel-top divan at bedtime!

The West Coast IPA is the mullet of the beer world. Iconic, assertive, and not to be messed with. It’s all business up front and party at the back. Chinook and Citra in the hot side lay down a bright, bitter backbone of dry grapefruit and marmalade ‘bits’, while Idaho 7 and Mosaic on the dry hop bring in waves of mango and a dank edge.

Number one on the side and don’t touch the back, number six on the top and don’t cut it wack 😉

Available on the webshop and pouring at your local tappy.
