It’s the start of another busy week at Barbican Bar & Grill by Searcys and Barbican Centre, with eight performances of the critically acclaimed High Society Musical taking to the stage.

At the recent ‘Annual People Awards 2026’ hosted brilliantly by Savoy Place we enjoyed drinks on the Johnson Roof Terrace overlooking The Thames before heading into the Riverside Room for the awards ceremony.

Our evening was made by the announcement that our brilliant Executive Head Chef (of Barbican Events by Searcy’s ) Peter Pettigrew won ‘Chef of the Year’. 🙌

This award is fantastic recognition of Peter who has headed up the events in the kitchen since 2018 and consistently brings excellence, innovation, menu creativity and passion to each and every event he oversees - congratulations Peter! 🙌
