I’m dedicating this first title in 22 years to inimitable Una the Gooner, the electric landlady who left her indelible legacy on the pub and to our many Gooner friends This iconic pub is a landmark in Highbury and has been a famous watering hole for Gooners for decades, showcasing probably the largest collection of memorabilia outside the club's museum. Promoters, DJ's, entertainers and especially all you punters....Show us what you've got!

I’m dedicating this first title in 22 years to Una the Gooner, the electric landlady, late of the Gunners pub. Una was a diminutive woman of Irish heritage who called out injustice and corruption. Those of you who were lucky enough to have met her or been entertained in the inner sanctum upstairs will know what I’m on about. Her generosity and humanity were legendary as was her wicked sense of humour. Foolish people and bullies she didn’t tolerate. Some of you might remember when the AwayBoyz played and Una was playfully restraining Bobby round his neck. “I can’t play under these circumstances “ he complained. Then the local constabulary arrived and were duly serenaded by the crowd. It was fun and will continue to make its way into folklore. Sometimes your own soul can get you into trouble. Oh well, Nobody can hurt you now kiddo. Una you were a maverick and lived a life few of us will ever dream about. There’s a party in heaven and I hope it never stops.

She was hounded by….you know who you are…bullies and misogynists…a couple of spurs season ticket holders….license issuers…surely a conflict of interest…coveters, predators. If you are troubled by a conscience may your customers know that you are a counterfeit. She turned around to walk away and you decided that hounding a woman you knew suffered with PTSD was somehow serving natural justice …. Why couldn’t you have let her walk away. Liverpool footballer Diogo Jota (28) lost his life as a result of a traffic accident.

He only got married two weeks ago.

Our thoughts & prayers are with his family, friends & Liverpool at this very sad time.💚❤️
