Sad to say that our brewery is now empty, ready for the next occupier.

Very happy to say that we have restarted our original brewery at the Owl and The Pussycat in Northfields. All future announcements will be from the Owl and The Pussycat accounts.

People ask us how we make our Pilsner Ursprung to taste so much better than factory lagers.

The answer is both ingredients and process. We use soft water, the best malt and genuine Czech Saaz hops. We cold ferment in open vessels at 9° and lager the beer for weeks.

The result is a pale, rich bitter beer quite unlike the stuff on warm supermarket shelves.

Bamberg. Home of the most famous malting house in the world. Home of Rauchbier - a lager made with smoked malt.

Today we re-brew Bamberger, our Rauchbier. Smoky and intense, it's a hugely rewarding beer. Does anywhere else in the UK offer draught Rauchbier?

Bamberg is a town that every beer lover should visit at least once. We do our best to bring the magic of draught Rauchbier to west London.

Patsy Hendren was a local hero. A cricketer with a test batting average over 47. A soccerball player with 399 appearances for Brentford (and was he the first Brentford player to play for England?) And a porter at Lord's during his youth.

So today, we honour Patsy by naming our latest Porter after him. Patsy Porter is strong, robust and reliable. It's the taste of London with a history going back at least 300 years. Regular and special edition "chocolate" versions available soon.

When our brewer isn't writing daft letters to Viz, he actually does some brewing. Today he's brewing Hamber, our Amber Bitter brewed in The Ham.

Lots of East Kent Goldings hops give the beer a traditional flavour with modern levels of bitterness.

Here's a photo of the first man in space, Yuri Gagarin, pouring himself a well-deserved pint.

One of our big surprise hits of the last year was Best Mild, a stronger more flavourful take in an English classic. (why does nobody else do this?)

Today, we think we've hit on another winner. With the malty caramel notes of a mild and the coffee-like aroma of Brown malt, Mild Porter is a new invention of ours.

Turner's Tank is being re-brewed today!

It's our light English Bitter, brewed with the best English Goldings hops. Named after our most famous local painter, it's a quenching, hoppy beer with subtle notes of green tea and honey.

Today we're brewing Poca Haze v2, a hazy Northfields IPA.

Hops. Loads of them in this beer. Citra, Mosaic and Centennial loaded on top of Maris Otter malt.

Ready soon in cask, keg and bottle.

Burton Ale is today's brew. The real strong, bittersweet beer - not the pale stuff Ind Coope used to brew. The Wikipedia article is pretty good if you're not familiar.

We use high gypsum water, Maris Otter, chocolate, brown and crystal malts, Goldings hops and English yeast in an open fermentation tank. That's about as authentic as you can get.
