Papa George is a legend, one of the finest blues singers and guitarists the UK has ever produced, his band contains some great performers too, not least the bass player who stood beside Gary Moore for many years Pete Rees.

Mike and Sylvie Rivers. The reasons for the renaissance of the Crawdaddy Club.

Back in 2012 their vision brought back the club in 2012 with a gig at the club’s longest lived sixties home, the Athletic ground when the Blue Bishops took the stage and Bill Wyman was in the audience. For 12 years we kept gigs going on a monthly basis, with only a pause for lockdowns. We saw award winners, future stars and legends from the club’s history all take the stage, until in 2024 Mike passed away (following the earlier passing of Sylvie) and the club was left to the team who helped him run the club through the years.

They continue to run the club, and while they’ve taken it to a new venue, but the club has moved a few times over the years, they keep the joy and passion alive, just the same as it was when Mike was there, the music is just as good, and the welcome just as warm… ask our audiences!

This is Mike and Sylvie doing what they loved most, dancing to some of the hottest blues and r&b you’ll hear in the borough of Richmond.
