For our first wine tasting of 2020, we welcomed Caroline Virasack from the G&C Lurton Vineyards who presented us Château Durfort-Vivens, its unique history and its DNA from Margaux.
With a vertical tasting of Château Haut Bages Libéral, we discovered the specificity of Margaux, the constraints that the biodynamic culture can bring in this region with the capricious climate, making the exercise certainly more complex than it could be on other terroirs.
The event took place at Kleinwort Hambros.

For our next tasting on January 20th, we are taking you to Bordeaux and we will dive into the history and the wines of Château Durfort-Vivens. Thanks again for the unique tasting we hosted on November 18th at the Kleinwort Hambros! 🥂 We discovered the outstanding culture of Pol Roger and what made it so special that it was once Churchill’s favorite Champagne ... with over 40k bottles drunk, and a top Cuvée named after him. We are looking forward to our next event in January, stay tuned ...

On November 18th, we had the chance to host an event featuring Pol Roger, and the HEC Alumni who attend had the opportunity to discover the Champagne which was once Winston Churchill's favourite...
The event was hosted at the Kleinwort Hambros in St James's Square.

The 50 HEC Alumni attending had a glance into the history of nearly 300 years of this Château in Burgundy, told by their Ambassador Olivier Bouchard. He also explained recent initiatives of Château de Pommard concerning cultivation methods, such as biodynamic cultivation of Clos Marey-Monge Monopole, which we had the chance to taste.
To top it all, Château Pommard offered a few bottles to one lucky attendee who was drawn on our guest list.

Edouard Moueix took us to Bordeaux, on the left bank of the Garonne, to discover the history of his family, both traders and owners. He managed to make the life of the vineyard very much alive. We tasted absolutely sumptuous wines in beautiful vintages, including 2005 and 2009.
