Every Monday night at The Spice of Life is our famous OPEN MIC MONDAY which has been running since 2001. An open Session for Singers, Songwriters and Musicians of all kinds to perform original material. (although the odd cover version gets sneaked in from time to time!!). We have a piano and a great PA.You'll need to provide your own accompaniment, be it guitar, didgeridoo or whatever as we don't

allow any backing tracks (it's not a karaoke session). It's a busy night, so get here a bit earlier if you want to be sure of a spot. The music starts at 7.00 pm.

Our Story

Our famous OPEN MIC MONDAY,which has been running since 2001 is switching to a monthly night which will be every third week of the month.

An open Session for Singers, Songwriters and Musicians of all kinds to perform original material. (although cover versions are completely fine too ).

We have a full PA and a back line available, including Drums / Amps and a Baby Grand Piano. You'll need to provide your own accompaniment, be it guitar, didgeridoo or whatever. Bands are also very welcome to come and play! Any Drummers will need to bring their breakables.

We do allow some backing tracks for Hip Hop / Rap artists. All must be able to plug into an IPod lead.
