What's behind the number 243?

The Collection number represents the number of times they have made a non vintage since the inception of the house in 1776.
Collection 243 embodies the creativity and complexity that Louis Roederer is known for. The end result is the perpetual reserve is the "freshening element" and 31% of the blend, 10% oak reserve wines and 59% from the 2018 harvest.

TGIF!!! Today is and here we have 2 wines out of this world 🌎

The Ricudda farm is located along a secondary route of the ancient Via Francigena, which in ancient times was traveled by pilgrims who went from France to Rome and from the ridge of Castellina in Chianti descended towards the main routes of the Val D'Elsa.

From an agronomic point of view, the position of the farm makes it very interesting, with soils facing south, rich in skeleton and marl sands. These characteristics make them particularly suited to quality viticulture, therefore the first choice of the new owners was to invest in the production of high quality organic wines, replanting the Sangiovese and Canaiolo vineyards, to be vinified alone.
