Our good friends are on the decks. They have all the bangers in their bag.

Dear friends,

I have been given the honour of performing the role of guest MC and auctioneer for an amazing event that our dear friends are hosting to raise money for the people of Ukraine.

On Monday evening there will be a dinner and an auction at . The meal will of course be sublime, and the auction promises to be something truly special. Unbelievably rare wines in all sizes are up for grabs. You can bid online for most of the items. Old Overnoy, Kagami, Haut Brion; there are dozens of genuine rares, plus a myriad of other amazing items available.

We’re excited to be finally reopening on Sundays, starting this week!

We’re changing up our usual menu format, allowing a la carte dining for casual grazers, or a full tasting menu for those who want something a little more lavish.

We will open La Cave to the public every Sunday, aiming to curate a fun & interesting selection of music & drinks - bring your dancing shoes.

There will be well-earned treats for our friends in the trade. Come by & see us x

Dear friends,

I am thrilled to finally be reopening the restaurant on Sundays, beginning in April. Our first Sunday back we are joined by friends to raise funds for a special cause.

Conflict the world over is always a tragedy. This time we have been devastated to see the direct impact on people we love dearly. Our wonderful friends and celebrated their wedding with us. They supported us during lockdown. They are my close friends and I love them very much. To see how strong, imaginative and resourceful they have been since the invasion of Olia’s mother country has been inspirational.

We have partnered with dear friends and are returning to our tried and tested formula for supporting the causes we care about: a boozy dinner and an auction.

We take some of the trendiest chefs from the trendiest restaurants around, put them together, and I gently make suggestions until they write an exciting menu, which they cook together. Then we call our buddies in the wine trade, who generously come to the party with bottles to sell on the night and auction off to the highest bidder. Other restaurants and friends make donations of all kinds. You then buy a seat at the dinner, bid for auction items, buy raffle tickets, and we raise a load of money. Hospitality legends from my side of the pass come and support us on the floor. It’s a winning combination.

The menu for this lavish dinner is priced at £100 and there are just 30 seats available.

Link in bio will take you where you need to go. You can support by attending the event, bidding online e for our auction prizes or by buying raffle tickets, which will be drawn on the night.

All proceeds from the night will be donated to Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine Appeal.

Celeriac, Comté & Hen of the Woods.

Celeriac is sliced fine and a rosette is formed, pressed and glazed in whey before being gently grilled over charcoal. The cheese is emulsified with roasted celeriac and finished with a madras-esque spiced oil we make with incredible products from . The mushrooms are simply smoked & grilled.

Valentine’s Day.

Here we are, my darlings.

To protect all of you and my staff in these troubled times, we’ll be winding down for the season - our last service will be Saturday evening. We’re stocked with lovely produce, so we’ll sell what we can of the perishables and be here for those of you who need a place to raise a glass together. Be careful. If you need to cancel, just do it - I’m not penalising anyone for being responsible.

I’ll open the wine shop next week from Monday to Thursday. The cellar has rarely looked as good as is does right now. Come in and head downstairs - I’ll be playing records in La Cave should you require liquid provisions for the festive period. If you’re really keen to go deep, send me a DM and we’ll book you a personal shopping appointment.

We have a sold-out NYE event which we would like to return for. All of you who have booked will be contacted in the coming week with more information on how we will make this as safe and comfortable as possible.

We are on leave for the first half of January, reopening on the 14th. This restaurant never ceases to inspire me, but this long slog, plus long Covid, have taken their toll. I’m taking the love of my life on a holiday; my first in several years and our first together. It’s time for relaxation and adventures in a far-off land. I intend to return with an obnoxious January tan, and a renewed sense of purpose. We have some exciting people joining the team in the new year - we look forward to sharing our progress with all of you in 2022.

Stay safe & take care of one another. Apologies for my continued contributions to the echo chamber, but as ever, f**k the f**king Tories.
