With an emphasis on the community and a no nonsense approach to food, Maeve’s Kitchen is a new restaurant located in the heart of Clapton. By day a cosy café providing home baked muffins, Climpson & Sons espresso, simple breakfasts and wholesome lunches; evening sittings offer an ever evolving menu of stews and one-pot dishes served with crusty bread, carafes of wine and locally brewed beers and ales.

In addition to the main café space, Maeve's also has a cozy private dining room downstairs. With exposed brickwork and tiles from Columbia Road's Milagros, this area can provide the perfect setting for parties of up to 25 people. We are now taking bookings for Christmas functions, with a special menu of sharing platters and seasonal accompaniments available to view on our website. For any enquiries, please email [email protected] - advanced booking is necessary to secure the space.

Our burrata comes from Corato in Puglia, southeastern Italy. These individual cheeses are shaped, filled with mozzarella and double cream and tied with twine before being soaked in whey. We serve them with basil oil and roasted cherry tomatoes for a simple, modern take on the classic Caprese salad.

We've just been given a kilo of blackberries by a neighbour grown locally in Rushmore Road!

Blackberry sorbet, blackberry jam and a blackberry cobbler are suggestions so far...any other ideas?
