If you miss Barbara Windsor and Hattie Jacques, and you can handle Two Wives of Bath (!) you will love this new comedy, specially written for the Women's Writers' Festival about two feisty old birds determined to give ageism the Vsign.

Venerable comic poets and performers, Anna Somerset and Heather Mary Sullivan are masked to share their blushes as the humour is very robust. You'll need sturdy gussets as there are laughs galore, combined with the poignancy of loss and a lot of poetry. Be the first audience to see this masterpiece of zany humour. Tickets are selling fast so book one of the two shows on
1 March at 9pm and 3 March at 5pm.

Finally: comedy and poetry gold in the unlikely form of two past-it grey birds - or are they? Trigger warning, lots of s**t and scatology, bathos, fat-shaming and tonnes of belly laughs. Seasoned comic poets Heather Mary Sullivan and Anna Somerset team up in a hilarious comic journey around being a....

Delighted to be on March 8th with my play Unscheduled as part of
‘Unscheduled’ follows two strangers, a Hairdresser and a Student who meet by chance beneath the clock at Waterloo Station. Over a series of unexpected encounters across the years, their lives slowly intertwine, revealing how family, work, class, and culture shape who we become. Funny, sharp, and quietly devastating, this new play takes a bold look at modern life and what happens when the people who change us most arrive without warning. This play started its life as part of and it’s so exciting as a local playwright to see it go from a read through in Dorset all the way to London.

✨ Thank you, 2025 ✨

As the year comes to a close, we just want to say a huge thank you to every company, artist, technician, producer and creative who brought their work to the Etcetera this year.

And to our audiences — thank you for showing up, supporting fringe theatre, taking risks with new work, and filling our tiny room with curiosity, laughter and care.

This space only exists because of the people who make it — onstage, backstage and in the seats.

We’re taking a short pause, then back at it in 2026 with more stories, more voices, and more nights above the Oxford Arms.
