THIS is the kind of reaction we like to see. Charlotte Keeffe, our solo artist this month, is in the zone. Don't you also want to be in the zone?!

Whether performing as a soloist, Sound Brush, or leading her adventurous ensemble RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW, Keeffe carves out bold, expressive spaces for sonic exploration and individual freedom. Inspired by abstract painters, she refers to her trumpets and flugelhorn as Sound Brushes, approaching each performance as a dynamic canvas for spontaneous creation. Jazzwise Magazine praises her work as “avant-garde for all,” and critic Kevin Le Gendre notes she “shows notable strength of character as she runs the sonic and emotional gamut.”

And so we're BACK! Hope you've managed to make the most of the summer - we certainly did. And now it's time to get pumped for this month's show with Sam Glaser (pictured).

Sam is an alto saxophonist, composer and bandleader based in London, UK. He is a virtuosic improviser and a unique voice on the UK jazz scene, and his warm and distinctive saxophone sound, paired with lyrical, energetic, and emotive playing, have led to renown amongst musicians and listeners alike.

** LINE UP ADJUSTMENT DUE TO ILLNESS**

We are sorry to report that due to illness, Alex Hitchcock is no longer able to perform his solo set for you all tonight . But we are THRILLED to announce that, at the last minute, the wonderful Noah Stoneman is stepping in for a solo piano performance. We wish Alex a swift recovery!!

Noah is a pianist and composer from North London. He is currently based in Brooklyn, New York and is adept at a wide range of musical idioms. What binds these different languages together is improvisation; an art which Noah aims to continually forge a personal relationship with throughout his career. He regularly performs and records as a sideman for some of the finest musicians across the UK and NYC from all generations, including Jasper Hoiby, Hillai Govreen, Steve Cardenas, Eric McPherson, Caius Williams, Alex Hitchock, Mark Kavuma, Ruben Fox, Jason Brown, Miles Mindlin, Rachael Cohen and many others.

In 2023 Noah released his debut album on Fresh Sound records, produced by long-term mentor and teacher Kit Downes, and received critical acclaim from publications including The Guardian and New Wave Magazine. In 2026 he released his second album ‘Dance at Zero’ on Resonant Postcards. It was named Editor’s Choice ‘best albums of the month’ by Jazzwise Magazine.

Join us on Monday for a solo set from London-born Alex Hitchcock, a leading international voice on the saxophone. An Ivor Novello-nominated composer and described by The Guardian as a “virtuoso” saxophonist, his innovative collaborations have confirmed a growing reputation as a catalyst for musical encounters that continually push the envelope a little further. His music is at times intense and chaotic, at others disarmingly sparse and emotionally direct, inspired by the radical tradition of Black American music.

A cure for isolation, CLIO is the latest project from saxophonist and composer Jamie Harms. A fluid group of some of the best young players in the capital, CLIO seeks to bring people together, both on the stage, and in the audience. Set up by Jamie initially as a way to connect with his friends through music, the group has since crystallised a new sound drawing on the depth of the UK's music scene. Playing original tunes and reinterpretations of other songs, inspired by a variety of artists including Kenny Wheeler, Porij, John Zorn, and Laura Marling.
