Now I’m gonna say something. This is absolutely no disrespect to the new genre of social media food people, to whom we definitely owe a lot. But the uncle in me finds it particularly nice seeing our name printed right there in black and white, in an actual newspaper.
The last couple months have seen the mainstream print media discover eating rice and peas with their Sunday lunch, and accordingly saw us included in a bunch of best-of lists, putting us amongst the top roasts in London. We’ve gotten shoutouts in the Telegraph (pictured in poor quality as I couldn’t get my hands on a copy), the Financial Times, the Metro, Timeout, a bunch of others we don’t remember. As such, we’ve seen a whole bunch of new faces, while still holding space for our loyal regulars who’ve been coming in weekly for years. Feels good, man.
