We’ll have:

• 2-year cask-matured and Bretted Quartermaine (keg);
• Classic Quartermaine (cask);
• Plum Quartermaine (cask); and the extremely rare
• Brother Frater, which is a blend and co-ferment of Armagnac Barrel-Aged ###K Vintage Ale and Quartermaine — not to be missed! (cask)

This could well be the only opportunity to try all 4 variants together, so get yourselves down on the Friday to taste them all!

Saturdays 11am till 10.30pm

🍻WIMBLEDON PALE ALE LAUNCH AT THE BEDFORD, BALHAM! 🍻’

Really excited to announce that this Thursday we are officially launching Wimbledon Pale Ale on keg at the Bedford!

THE BEER

Wimbledon Pale is bright and zesty, and we have kept the brew consistent over the years despite the sea of hazies.

A Maris Otter and Extra Pale malt base provides a solid foundation, while English, American and New Zealand hops come together to bring balancing bitterness and bold, tropical notes.

The result is a crisp and mighty sessionable brew, lining up with the classic Pales of the early Craft Beer Revolution.

Pleased to say that our summer seasonal, SW19 Blonde, will be ripe and raring in cask on the night, too!

From 6pm, this Thursday 23rd April, to celebrate the launch, Wimbledon Brewery is offering:

- A free Pale Ale sample to all who ask;
- A chance to win:
Brewery tour tickets;
Wimbledon Beer Festival Tickets;
6-packs of Wimbledon beer;
Wimbledon Brewery T-shirts.

Max will also be on site to answer any burning questions about the brewery you may have!

THE VENUE

A true Balham Stalwart, The Bedford is undoubtedly your best bet in Balham for Live Music, Fine Food and even Finer Ales.

Located just adjacent to Balham train station, the Bedford was built in 1931 and then refurbished, thereby becoming the number 1 destination for travellers to the area seeking rooms, board and banging music.

Over the years, the likes of Ed Sheeran, Lola Young, Sam Smith, Eddie Izzard and Michael McIntyre have graced the boards, while the venue’s huge wraparound bar still plays host to a multifarious merry-go-round of locals and travellers alike.

Always an interesting day at the brewery… here’s Derek Prentice doing a good impression of David Bellamy in amongst the shrubbery.

We’re reopening the TAP in May, and preparation is underway for Quartermaine IPA ‘THREE WAYS’.

This one in particular is a bit of an unknown. With the addition of Brettanomyces yeast, the beer has been in cask for over two years.

Derek is packaging it and describes the different stages the yeast goes through over time.

The second Quartermaine offering is our traditional version 5.8% cask.

Thirdly, Brother Frater is back! Our blend of Quartermaine and ###K Armagnac cask conditioned vintage ale. And a punchy 6.7%, get in!

Look out for details. Generous samples on the day.
More details to follow.
