Here is an update in response to the many posts about Hideaway closing…

For well over 2 years, we have been looking for a new premises in which to relocate.

The forced closure has coincided with the end of the useful life of our current building, including a roof that could be used to drain pasta.

We feel that in the current climate, and for at least the remainder of this year it would not be viable to re-open on our existing site, and so we are committing to our relocation plan.

So, we will meet again - not sure where, not sure when… but we know it’ll be a sunny day.

You've bought your tickets from them, they've poured your drinks and cooked and served your food... now catch some of the Hideaway team perform live as Hideaway chef Chris takes to the stage as Freeman MC - rapper, singer and songwriter.

A songwriter, rapper and musician with deep roots in the gospel tradition, Freeman cleverly explores a variety of genres and styles from traditional hip hop and rap, reggae, R&B and rock.

Showcasing diversity in talent, sounds, genres and inspiration, the hip-hop show pays tribute to the R&B, Soul, Gospel era.

With the creative production of this show pulled together by Barbara (one of our front of house team), backing and guest vocal slots from Jade (bar) and Nina (box office) plus Telis (front of house) on guitar, this is a team effort that we are proud to help host as part of Streatham Festival.

The evening will be hosted by the talented Junior Booker and will feature an eclectic collection of both local and international and emerging artists.
