It is with great sadness that we have closed the doors at Borderline for the final time.
Over the past 35 years, Borderline has been lucky enough to play host to a whole variety of music artists who have become some of the biggest in the world, going on to sell out stadiums across the globe, as well as regular tours from smaller acts filling our venue, year after year.
Our little Soho basement was a dedicated space for musicians and their fans, situated smack-bang in the middle of London – an oasis in a sea of rapid development and gentrification, whose wave unfortunately managed to crash over us in the end.
We hope you have formed many fond memories of our club – we certainly have – and we hope you continue to support the other small music venues in London, and beyond, as the threat of high business rates, lacklustre council and licensing support and property development are very real and increasing every day.
“It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.”
