Our girl Emily Dust has been on the road!! Essential listening.

Absolutely thrilled to announce properly that I've made a programme for BBC World Service all about gqom!

In September I went to Durban to find out more about how gqom's global rise is affecting the originators and new DJs and producers in Durban... We spoke to Griffit Vigo GgomLegend Nakedboys SA DJ LAG GQOMking TLC_Fam Nobuhle IceQueen Mngoma Durban Gqom Music Concepts Emo-Kid SA and Citizen Boy.

The World Service is literally the world's largest international broadcaster. Its radio service reaches over 75 million people a week on FM, AM and loads of other formats, in countries where people don't use streaming platforms or have data to download shows and browse the internet (as well as ones where they do of course). I'm extremely proud and humbled to have the opportunity to showcase music I love from the most exciting scene in the world right now to such a huge audience.
