Yesterday we closed the shop early and the whole team headed to the O2 academy Brixton to catch DARK FUNERAL, Dimmu Borgir and Behemoth.

Unfortunately we didn’t get there early enough to catch Dark Funeral but Dimmu Borgir were on top form as were Behemoth. Who were your favourites on the night?

Thank you to everyone who came to say hello, it means a lot, until the next gig... Stay Metal 🤘🤘

Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming Kobi Farhi, frontman and co-founder of Orphaned Land, to Raven Records.

A pioneer of ‘Oriental Metal’, helped create a distinctive sound that fuses heavy metal with Middle Eastern musical traditions, folk melodies and religious themes. Beyond the music, he has devoted his life to promoting peaceful coexistence between Jews, Muslims and Christians, earning multiple peace awards for his work.

His debut book, The Jewish Muezzin, tells the remarkable true story of his journey from growing up in Jaffa, surrounded by conflict and division, to founding one of the Middle East’s most extraordinary musical acts: . It is a story of defying prejudice, breaking down barriers and using the power of heavy metal to bring people together.

Signed copies of The Jewish Muezzin published by are available in store and online from our webstore at the link in bio.

Last week Ben headed out as a volunteer ‘book’ with the Human Library to discuss Satanism and addiction recovery at the W**e and Spirit Education Trust and the City Lit Festival of Mental Wealth.

The Human Library UK is a not for profit learning platform that hosts conversations designed to challenge stigma and stereotypes, where topics are discussed openly between our human ‘books’ and their readers.

Ben has been a book with the Human Library for the past 8 years. To find out more about the Human Library visit: humanlibrary.org.

In September 2026, we had the honour of interviewing Maxine Sanders about the Green Lung song ‘Maxine (Witch Queen)’ the song inspired by her.

Maxine co-founded Alexandrian Witchcraft in the 1960s. She remains one of the tradition’s leading voices: an author, teacher and influential figure in modern witchcraft, as well as one of the UK’s most iconic practitioners.

We’re extremely grateful to Maxine for taking the time to talk to us, anyone interested to learn more can visit or her website at the link in our bio.

Thank you also to for including Raven Records on the occult map of London in their new album, Necropolitan. We’re excited to share this conversation with the woman who inspired this iconic song from their third album, This Heathen Land.
