Another fantastic beer from our friends in Bermondsey. If you want to drink local and cut your beer miles this is the choice for you. And did we mention it’s delicious!! Don’t take our word for it here’s Dean F from scoring it a solid 4.2 out of 5 ‘This pours a perfect black with a beige mousse that would make French pattisières fill with envy. There's a strong but subdued coffee, intelligently refined, not overly cloying nor syrupy, just an honest delivery that seems so basic in its elements but somehow seems to elude many breweries on this side of the world. The flavour is smooth barley, honest hops not trying to fry your tastebuds. A great mouthfeel with solid oiliness. Clear and sparkling bright golden in the glass, crowned by a pure white head, it is usually drunk in the shade of a chestnut tree according to tradition. A beer which always goes down well: mild, elegant malts with a hint of sweetness and a soft hint of hops in the background. This is pure Bavarian life style!
