Located on the historic grounds of the bustling Pickford's Wharf docks in London, the Old Thameside Inn is a charming pub that offers a memorable dining experience. Steeped in rich history, this 16th-century site was once home to an old spice warehouse. Plus, behind the pub, the original Clink Prison stood, serving as a private prison for the Bishop of Winchester since 860. Adding to the charm, Southwark Central, London's oldest Gothic building, proudly stands behind the pub. Originally a Saxon Nunnery built in 1106, it was later rebuilt and became a Cathedral in 1905. As if that wasn't enough, outside the pub, visitors can marvel at a full-size replica of The Golden Hind, the ship that carried Sir Francis Drake on his famous round-the-world voyage from 1577 to 1580. With its prime location near historic landmarks and the river, the Old Thameside Inn offers a unique dining experience immersed in history.
