The rest of May at Il Maremmano 🎶
We’re a small Italian bar in Brixton built around a vintage HiFi sound system — restored 1960s and 70s Sansui speakers, made for vinyl. The kind of place where you come for a Negroni and a tagliere of Maremman salumi, stay for the music, and leave wondering why every bar isn’t like this.
Not a club, not a concert — just a great bar where the music actually sounds incredible. Come to hang out, have a drink, catch up with friends. The vinyl is always on, the sound system does the rest.
Here’s what’s coming up this month, curated by Here On Earth:
Friday 15th — Sacha Dieu Decades behind the decks, residencies at El Pastor and the Magic Garden. Expect a globe-trotting sound rooted in Latin, African, Asian, Caribbean and jazz.
Friday 22nd — Richie B Twenty years of digging, with sets built on the foundational rhythms of reggae, hip hop and soul.
Saturday 23rd — Mixupcatz South London’s genre-fluid duo drawing from heavy crates of jazz, soul, Brazilian grooves and broken beats.
Friday 29th — Sid A soulful selector with roots in the UK and Kenya — African funk, soul, disco and 90s hip hop, having played listening bars across the world.
Saturday 30th — Here On Earth residents Sam & Rhys keeping things jazzy across the decades — hard bop, soul jazz, jazzdance and everything in between.
