BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND INCOMING 💥

Start the long weekend with cocktails and crostoni in the courtyard, then head over to Maremma Restaurant for dinner, or stay and soak up the sounds from our vintage hi-fi soundsystem.

Our line-up this weekend:

Thursday 27th: Malou on the decks. French, Brittany-raised, vinyl-first, moving through cosmic disco, Afro-funk, Balearic beats and vintage soul. Credits include Bar Levan, Leylines Festival and a residency at The Standard X Hotel in Melbourne.

Friday 28th: Naoko TheRock - Tokyo-born, classically trained in piano, a fixture in London’s reggae scene since 2001 - ska, rocksteady and reggae at Rototom Sunsplash and Reggae Geel, plus co-hosting Rocksteady Party.

Saturday we’re closed for a private party (sorry folks!)

Doors 5pm, music from 7pm.

Don’t worry - the bar’s open as usual Thursday and Friday, with Malou on the decks 27th August, followed by Naoko the Rock on Friday 28th to kick start your bank holiday weekend.

An epic weekend ahead, with some selectors we’re excited to welcome to the decks. The courtyard is open, Negronis are pouring, and Mark Daley’s on first tonight.

Thursday 13th August: Mark Daley - a passionate digger and Melomanics collective member, Mark’s sets move fluidly through jazz, soul, Brazilian, funk, afrobeat and world grooves.

Friday 14th August: Rory More and Andrei Nikolksy. Rory More, organist and band leader of Les Hommes, and Andrei Nikolksy, founder of Palace Records, come together for an evening of rare library music and retro grooves.

Saturday 15th August: IDRIS إدريس - a West London vinyl collector and selector with North African roots, Idris is a resident at Backgammon & Wax and member of the Brighton Sundae family, known for deep-crate sets that move fluidly through hip-hop, jazz, Brazilian, afrobeat, soul and broken beat.

Tuscan wines, Maremman small plates, vinyl on the deck.

FREE ENTRY. Doors 5pm, music 7-11pm.

Meet Here On Earth - the duo behind Il Maremmano’s music.

Sam and Rhys are the residents curating every night on the decks and the reason the sound at Il Maremmano moves the way it does. Rhys built the sound system himself - a main stereo pair of 1970s Sansui SP-7500X speakers, a secondary lounge pair of 1960s Sansui SP-100s, an LD Systems subwoofer, and a full custom vinyl desk with Technics SL-1200s, a Formula Sound 400 mixer and Cambridge Audio monitors, all run through a digital speaker management system with high-end Class AB amplifiers.

The point is this isn’t any old soundsystem - it’s been built with love. Their sets blend genres from across the decades, paying homage to jazz legends while pulling in fresh, unexpected elements - hard bop, soul jazz, jazzdance and everything in between. An ever-evolving record collection means there’s always something new to dig into. They’ve played at some of London’s most respected spots - Brilliant Corners, Mad Cats, BBE, Our Time Is Now, Jazztrain - and it’s that same ear for curation that shapes who else you’ll hear at Il Maremmano. Every guest DJ on the lineup is picked by them.

So much thought and expertise has gone into this from both of them - the sound, the selections, all of it.

This weekend at Il Maremmano ✨

Sun’s out and the courtyard’s open. Rustic, tucked away, with a mural of Baratti Bay on the wall - it’s first come, first served for a table outside, so get here early and bag a spot with a spritz.
