Hello everyone,

The Lord of the Isles is now under new ownership, and it’s truly a privilege to continue the story of a place that has meant so much to so many over the years.

Our new team, led by Corne Van Jaarsveld, have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to prepare the Lord to welcome you back once again and we will be releasing updated opening times and menus in the coming weeks.

In the kitchen, Chef Barry Hartshorne has been crafting a seasonally focused, ingredient led celebration of the West Coast. Expect comforting, beautifully made dishes using high quality local produce, with thoughtful vegan and gluten free options also available.

We’re also excited to announce the opening of The Isles Larder, led by Veronika Van Jaarsveld. The Larder stocks high quality, local produce used in our restaurant allowing you to take home the ingredients behind the dishes you enjoy at the Lord.

We can’t wait to welcome you back to enjoy the food, explore The Isles Larder, and continue building new memories in a place that means so much to the community.

Here’s to a new beginning grounded in everything that made this place special.

We hope to see you very soon.

We are delighted to confirm that the Lord of The Isles has been bought by the Norton family and is now part of Craobh Marina, which is fantastic news for locals, self-catering businesses and, of course, all you sailors out there.

We made the difficult decision in October 2023 to close the pub and appreciate that a dry marina has not been great for visitors, but we are very confident that the changes and new blood will only bring great things!

Craobh and Lunga have been a big part of our life, we have made good friends and could write a book on the many characters who have visited and lived/live locally! There have been weddings, birthday parties, New Year shenanigans, family get togethers, life celebrations and many memorable WHYW weekends and events.

Thank you all for your custom, support and friendship over the past 18 years and for all the memories.

ATB Les, Meg and family
