A Little Pub with a Big Welcome! 🇫🇷❤️🍻

One of the best things about a traditional country pub in a small town is the lovely people you meet along the way! 🥰

This week, we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming so many lovely customers! Including this wonderful family all the way from France, not once but twice! 🇫🇷❤️

That’s what we love about a proper British pub - good company, friendly faces, plenty of laughs and making everyone feel welcome, whether you’re a local or just passing through! 🍻

We hope they enjoy the rest of their holiday in beautiful Wales! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿❤️

Strangers walk in, friends walk out! Merci beaucoup pour votre visite! 🍻

🎉🍻 A BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR BAR MANAGER CHARLIE! 🍻🎉

We want to wish our very own Charlie a massive Happy Birthday today! 🥳🍹

Thank you for everything you do for the pub, from keeping everyone well watered 🍺 to keeping the place ticking over (and keeping us all in line… well, trying to! 😂).

We’d be lost without you… although we reckon the specials board might be a bit more legible! 👀🤣✍️

Thanks for all your hard work, the laughs and everything you do behind the scenes. You’re a star and we’re lucky to have you! ❤️

Have the best birthday, Charlie! 🍻🎂

Lots of love from all of us at the pub! ❤️

P.S. Don’t worry, Charlie, we’ll try not to judge the pink cocktail… too much! 🤣🍹💖

So, we’ve got another little debate for you all… one that has the Angel staff very torn! 👀

More of a would you rather, really…

If you had to choose just ONE, would you go Indian 🇮🇳 or Italian 🇮🇹?

2 of our most popular dishes are our House Chicken Curry 🍛, a firm favourite with so many of you, and our Classic Beef Ragu with Tagliatelle 🍝, another proper comfort-food favourite.

Obviously, they’re both menu staples and neither is going anywhere, so no need to panic! 😂

But we want to know… if you HAD to choose, which one couldn’t you live without?

🍛 Indian or 🍝 Italian?

We reckon this one might split a few households… 😂 Let us know below! ❤️👇

🎄✨ IT’S TIIIIIIIMMMMMEEEE! ✨🎄
Cue Mariah Carey defrosting as we speak… 😂🎶

We know, we know… it’s only the end of September and Christmas might still feel a little way off, BUT we’re very excited to say that Christmas bookings at The Angel Inn have officially begun! 🎅🥂

And we’re especially excited this year, because our restaurant will be getting a gorgeous renovation in October! 🤩✨

And can we just take a moment for this Christmas menu?! 😍🎄 We might be a little biased, but we think it looks absolutely gorgeous. From traditional roast turkey and slow-cooked beef shin to Christmas pudding, spiced pear crumble and plenty more… choosing might be the hardest part! 🤤

🍽️ 2 courses – £29.50
🍽️ 3 courses – £38.50
🎄 £10 deposit required at least 7 days prior to your booking

Exciting times ahead at The Angel Inn! ❤️

Christmas parties are already starting to book in, so get your festive plans in the diary and come celebrate with us! 🥂🎅🎁

MERCI BEAUCOUP! 🇫🇷🙌

What a fantastic evening we had for our French Night! 🥂

The restaurant was fully booked, and we’d like to say a huge merci to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening such a lovely one. ❤️

Our guests enjoyed four courses inspired by French favourites, starting with a French Martini and flaky cheese twists, followed by dishes including baked Camembert, homemade chicken liver pâté, chicken fricassée and beef bourguignon, before finishing with tarte aux pommes and crème brûlée. 🇫🇷🍷

Here’s a little look at some of the dishes from the night… Bon appétit! 👨‍🍳✨

We absolutely loved seeing the restaurant full, everyone enjoying themselves and getting into the French spirit.

À bientôt! 🇫🇷
And thank you again from all of us at The Angel Inn, Llanidloes ❤️
