A small change to VAT for hospitality would make a massive difference

The hospitality sector has come together to launch – a united campaign and petition calling for hospitality VAT to be reduced from 20% to 10%.

Spearheaded by chef and publican Tom Kerridge, we’re working alongside trade bodies across the sector, such as and , hospitality communities like , and you, businesses across hospitality, to say 10% VAT is fair for hospitality.

Our sector pays too much tax, and VAT is the single biggest lever the Government can pull to support venues, our customers, our high streets and our local communities.

This campaign is for everyone: businesses, customers, waiting staff, chefs, kitchen porters, bar staff, hotel teams, farmers, brewers, suppliers and producers.

🚴‍♂️ SKIPPERS CYCLE CHALLENGE 🚴‍♂️
Ben and a few of the Skippers locals are taking on a massive challenge — cycling 100 miles from Monmouth all the way back home to Skippers, Tresaith in just ONE day! 💪🔥
The ride is all in aid of the amazing DPJ Foundation, raising money for a fantastic cause that does incredible work supporting mental health and wellbeing across Wales 💙
It’s going to be a long, tough day in the saddle with plenty of hills, tired legs and sore backsides along the way… but the team are ready to give it everything they’ve got!
We’d love for everyone to get behind the boys by donating, sharing the post and cheering them on from the sidelines 🍻

Pws has been enjoying the sun in our pub garden recently! Terry’s away on his holidays and so Pws has become a regular with us. He said ‘one staff member gave me some lovely duck the other day and made me feel very welcome! Will be back again. 10/10 recommend. Oh and the Guinness is to die for!’
